Company History:

OLP Construction, Inc. was founded by its President Orlando Lorenzo in November 1998. Mr. Lorenzo holds a Civil Engineering degree and has been working in the construction industry since his graduation in 1989. OLP Construction, Inc. began as a General Contractor; in a span of 2 years working in this capacity we completed several commercial and residential projects. During this time OLP Construction, Inc. also operated as a concrete sub contractor, our largest project in this capacity was the 100,000 square foot Heritage Assisted Living Facility in Lake Mary, FL. This part of the business started to grow at a much faster pace; at this point the decision was made to continue as a Concrete Sub Contractor.

In 2002 OLP Construction acquired minority certifications with Orange County and the City of Orlando. This certification opened the door for us to begin working on some governmental projects such as the Orange County Convention Center West Entry with PCL Construction and the Orange County Correctional Facility Phase 1 with Haskell Construction.

In 2003 we started working on our first Tilt-Up building the Entenmann’s Warehouse project. It quickly became apparent that Tilt-Up Construction was a fast growing industry that we wanted to be a part of. At this point OLP Construction, Inc. opened a Tilt-Up division. We began training all our employees and hiring new ones with Tilt-Up experience to help with this new endeavor.

This is also the first year we began to do work for the Orange County School board. 2004 brought our first experience of working at Orlando International Airport on our first paving project, with projects like BP-358 which had 120,000 SF of 17” 700 flex concrete paving over 6” of Econocrete base. 2005 & 2006 continued the growth of our Tilt-Up division with jobs for Orange County Public Schools, the City of Orlando and Orlando International Airport. In this span we secured the Lynx Operations Base project with The Collage Companies, this job consisted of 450,000 SF of pavement and 200,000 SF of Tilt-Up office and maintenance buildings. We also were awarded the Douglas Grand Condominium Building with Holiday Style Homes; this project had a total of 200,000 SF with elevated decks.

OLP Construction, Inc. continues its growth plan by beginning to compete for projects on the west and east coast of Florida. We are excited about our future and we look forward to use our vast experience to bring quality work to our clients.
